Bill Howatt is the board chair for our Official Board. Bill is a farmer from the area and also serves on the Pembina Valley Watershed District Board. He and his wife Mariette are also fantastic musicians who share their gifts at the local Manitou Opera House coffee house and singing group on the Edge. Bill is also in the church choir.
Dale Dobson capably fills the role of Official Board secretary and church treasurer. Dale and his wife Jennifer are long time residents of Manitou - Dale’s home town - and life long members of the church. Dale is very involved with the church choir and the Manitou Opera House and the Borderline Singers. When he isn’t rooted to the earth Dale is a pilot who enjoys checking out the landscape when the skies are clear for flying.
Care of the Church: There is a committee of Stewards who help the day to day function and maintenance of the property and we have volunteer folks who help clean our buildings. We have just recently found someone to look after the CE building cleaning on a casual basis.
Rev Mel is the person who is our admin person and soon we hope to have a part time support person to assist in the daily admin work of the church.
The church has been home for the Manitou and Area Family Resource Centre weekly program and we are host to a group of Girl Guides.
